Every year for two days in June, the hot spot for team ropers is Kingsville, Texas, home of The George Strait Team Roping. George and Buddy, along with their wives, Norma and Denise, host this roping with a payoff exceeding 120,000, plus trucks and trailers to the winners.

Three hundred plus teams enter and rope the first day to make the top 25 cut. These 25 teams, the cream of the crop, come back the second day to rope three steers each. The team with the fastest time on three will leave Kingsville as the champions and drive home in the new pickups and trailers. The excitement of this tape continues as two of the world's top teams square off for a 10-steer match.
